Program Components:
Naturopathic Physician Consultations: Experience personalized holistic healthcare with a one-on-one virtual consultation with naturopathic physician and fitness competitor, Dr. Kristy Appelhans. Dr. Kristy has an extensive background in providing comprehensive health care solutions grounded in conventional, preventive, and complementary medicine, nutritional science and therapy, and sports medicine. In short, she will not prescribe a pill; she will assess your overall health and lifestyle, and prescribe a natural plan based on the right nutrition and supplementation for your specific needs.
1-Day retreat: You’ll get an in-depth look at nutrition and the tremendous role it plays in our overall health and wellness. Dr. Kristy will be in Borrego for a guided grocery tour to teach you how to read labels and make the choices that work best for you, as an individual. There will also be in-person panels, and presentations on transformation nutrition, supplementation, workouts, and healthy eating.
Group Workout Classes: Transform your fitness goals into reality with progressive group workout sessions aimed to help you build strength, improve flexibility, and endurance with Borrego’s well-loved personal trainer, Mike Puzzo. Mike has been a personal trainer for close to 10 years and holds daily adult classes at his Functionally Fit for Life studio in The Mall, at the local high school gym, and via Zoom.
Local Activities: Join in a variety of fun and liberating group activities such as hiking, biking, and meditating. Energize your body and clear your mind. Connect with yourself while connecting with nature and like-minded individuals. Led by Rossy Sanchez of Yellow Woman Ranch, an emotional intelligence and mindfulness teacher, and the creator of 3+things® journalism project for women.
Support Network: Receive support and encouragement throughout your journey from our team of experts and fellow participants. Engage in virtual bi-weekly panel and group discussions, ask questions, share successes and challenges, and celebrate achievements together.
